Consider this simple but profound statement:

The reward of choosing joy is joy itself.

This is one of the messages of Nouwen in his book "The Return of the Prodical Son” He goes on to say,"There is so much rejection, pain and wounded ness among us, but once you choose to claim the joy hidden in the midst of all suffering, life becomes celebration.  Joy never denies the sadness, but transforms it to a fertile soil for more joy”

Perhaps we can take some wisdom from these words and apply it to our business as we reflect on past year of 2009. In this we can see past our hardships, disappointments, and difficulties and celebrate the joys that are found in each of our lives if we just sharpen our personal and spiritual vision.

December is a season of renewal for many of us for many reasons. It has been one year since my dear brother has passed. This has also opened up the doors for many other reflections in my life. 

We can take the time to make peace with our families, our friends, our neighbors, our business, and often the most challenging ourselves.

December is also a time for joyful expectation, which comes wrapped in many packages. In fact working leads/prospects this month is a perfect time. Many networker's success stories start in the month of December.  This is time that many of us gear ourselves up for the New Year.  2010 will be the year of many personal successes if we choose.  So many individuals are looking for a true business just like yours. Now is the time to commit to your dials and start the New Year off running!

Remember to choose joy, and to choose now----the rewards are priceless!
