"To know and not to act, is not to know”

 

The key to setting appointments is having an effective approach. In the same way that a business overview/presentation cannot be given until an appointment is set, an appointment cannot be set until someone is approached.

 

Therefore, the crucial step of mastering your approach is the key in moving your business forward.


It sounds simple and it is.  We know what to do but sometimes we do not take that first step.


In the book, "The Ultimate Guide to Prospecting”, Susan Sly and I give many techniques and partical skills to master the fundamental "process” of setting appointments.

 

I start by taking a look at my week ahead on my calendar.  I set the intention to have 3 to 5 prospects reviewing my business opportunity everyday.  By committing to this goal there will be no doubt that my business is alive and growing.  On the other side if your appointment calendar is empty, your business will is suffering and probably is not where you would like it to be. 

 

  A laser focus technique is my 10 penny rule game.  Each morning I place 10 pennies on the left side of my computer.  Each time I complete an I.A.P (income producing activity) I move one penny to the right side.  This not only motivates me but it is a mental and physical activity to see instant success.

 

I challenge myself to complete the ten pennies early in the day so I am free emotionally, and mentally from my business for enjoy the rest of the day without guilt but instead with satisfaction.
